Danijela Popović is an assistant professor at the Laboratory of Paleogenetics and Conservation Genetics at the University of Warsaw. Her main research interest is the use of ancient DNA to reconstruct the evolutionary history of Late Pleistocene and Holocene mammals in Eurasia. She is also interested in human paleogenomics.

In the WOOLRHINOPOLI project she will be responsible for ancient DNA analyses including high-throughput sequencing on Illumina platforms and bioinformatic analyses of the obtained data.
